Eager to Travel This Spring? Here's Where You Should Go

We are almost three months into 2021, and Spring is right around the corner. Most of the winter blues are behind us, and you are probably daydreaming of booking a flight somewhere away from your daily routine and getting some much needed R&R. Whether you want to go somewhere where you are able to catch some rays, ski some fresh powder, or just GETAWAY, we are right there with you.

Four Day Weekend has compiled what we believe are the best places to visit this spring, as well as a destination for every type of traveler. From the beaches of Florida to the mountains of Colorado and the nature of rural California, these unique destinations will definitely be the perfect getaway from a long winter.

FLORIDA

The state of Florida no longer has a mandated mask order, however, it is highly recommended when one is not able to social distance and if you are travelling out of state.. As of now, restaurants are running at full capacity as well as most bars.

ST. PETE BEACH

The first stop is Florida in beautiful St. Pete Beach, ranked the nations #1 beach on TripAdvisor. St Pete has seven miles of soft, white sand juxtaposed to the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico (what more could you want?!).

Where to Stay

If you are looking to spend more and stay at a more upscale accommodation, we suggest The Don Cesar . This Gulf Coast icon, also known as the Pink Palace, has been around for nearly a century and is a staple to St Pete Beach. With two outdoor pools, restaurants, bars, fitness center and a private beach, there is hardly any reason to leave! If you are looking for a more affordable accommodation, we recommend The Villas At St. Pete Beach , a beach front hotel that is low key and comfortable.

Where to Eat

Since it is situated right on the Gulf of Mexico, St. Pete Beach is known for its daily fresh caught right off the shore. One of the best known restaurants, St. Pete Crabby Bills, , located right on the seaside with a laid back tiki bar and atmosphere. It is a great place for delicious seafood and a sunset you cannot beat. If you want something other than seafood, head to Skidder's Restaurant, where they serve up hearty Greek and Italian comfort food right on Gulf Blvd.

What to Do

If the weather is not the best, definitely go to The Dali Museum in downtown St. Petersburg. This unique museum is entertaining from start to finish from the architecture of the buildings to the gardens. The Van Gogh Alive exhibit will be taking place at the Dali until June 13th.

If you are looking for one of the most aesthetically pleasing, Instagrammable places in St. Pete Beach, head to Level 11 Rooftop Bar where you can get a panoramic view of the 7 miles of St. Pete.

COLORADO

Moving away from the crystal blue waters of the Gulf, we are headed to the Rocky Mountains in Breckenridge, Colorado. Masks are mandatory when in town, restaurants are operating at 50% capacity with a last call at 10 p.m., and it is mandatory to have a reservation for the mountain.

Now at seven miles long,, Breck is a popular ski area with a mountain spanning 5 peaks, many delicious restaurants and lots of places to explore.

Where to Eat

There are over 100 restaurants to explore in Breckenridge and all different kinds of cuisines. Aurum Food and Wine is serving up something special this season.
